Sakina Foster Bio

Sakina Rasheed Foster is a Partner in the Finance Section of Haynes and Boone, LLP, an Am Law 100 law firm. She also serves as the office managing partner of the Dallas office, which is the firm’s largest office and where it started over 50 years ago. Sakina represents borrowers and financial institutions in complex loan transactions. Private equity firms, corporate entities, banks, direct lenders, and high net worth individuals seek Sakina’s advice in connection with senior and subordinated financing, including syndicated and single bank loan facilities, acquisition financings, asset-based lending and debtor-in-possession financing. Sakina is also a leader in the firm’s Commercial Contracts practice group where she focuses on structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.

Sakina’s business acumen was recognized by D CEO (D Magazine Partners), which selected her as one of the region’s most influential business leaders in 2020, 2021 and 2024. She was also named one of D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers in Dallas” in banking & finance in 2020-2024 (D Magazine Partners) and was featured in the 2020 and 2022-2024 editions of Texas Super Lawyers (Thomson Reuters). When she’s not serving clients, Sakina serves on the board of Texas Women’s Foundation.
