For over thirty years, the Leadership Arts Institute has done what no other program in North Texas does develops business leaders and places them on nonprofits arts board. During the program, Dallas-Fort Worth executives and leaders build the powerful network and hands-on experience their next career chapter calls for.

When you’ve graduated from LAI, we aim to give you options to join the boards North Texas arts organization where the nonprofit arts board leadership you’ve developed genuinely matters.

Applications for the 2026–2027 cohort are open through August 7.


Who We Are

Celebrating 37 years of connecting commerce and culture in North Texas, Business Council for the Arts (BCA) has led nearly 1,500 business leaders through the prestigious Leadership Arts Institute program, with graduates now serving on more than 170 arts boards nationwide. With experience collaborating with nearly 500 North Texas arts nonprofits, BCA is striving to expand its reach with 150 member organizations and growing.


Through impactful programs, educational opportunities, and unique events, you can be a part of elevating business and the creative economy in North Texas.

OMOT Artwork Submission Deadline

Compete with professionals across North Texas for recognition and display at the NorthPark Center. Artwork and Literary submissions must be submitted by this deadline, where jurors will select the pieces that will go on display. We can’t wait to see what you will create!
