About the Role
BCA is seeking a dynamic, detail-driven, and resourceful Programs & Events Manager to design and deliver our signature programs and events. From On My Own Time™ and Leadership Arts Institute sessions to the Obelisk Awards, Art@Work exhibits and workshops, and exclusive member events, you’ll play a key role in creating meaningful, memorable cultural experiences that connect businesses to the arts.
This role blends strategy, planning, and hands-on execution. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage logistics, timelines, staffing, vendors, budgets, and on-site production, ensuring every program and event is executed at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute BCA’s signature programs and events from start to finish.
- Manage event logistics, including timelines, budgets, contracts, vendors, staffing, and on-site support.
- Collaborate with internal teams, board members, partners, and artists to ensure seamless delivery.
- Develop event strategies that align with BCA’s mission and enhance member engagement.
- Oversee registration, communications, and audience engagement before, during, and after events.
- Ensure programs and events meet high standards of creativity, professionalism, and impact.
- Track program metrics and prepare post-event reports to inform future planning.
- Support the cultivation of sponsors, partners, and donors through meaningful event experiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in arts, event management, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of professional experience in program management, event planning, or related roles preferred.
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative problem solver with a proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented approach.
- Experience working with vendors, contractors, and volunteers.
- Passion for the arts and belief in their power to inspire and connect communities.
Work Environment & Schedule
- This position is primarily in-office (located in North Texas).
- Remote work on Fridays is offered.
- Some evenings and weekends are required for programs and events.
- Flexible scheduling is available to balance event commitments
