Join Us for Shaping Memories, A Special Art@Home Workshop!

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a beginner, this hands-on-making session is perfect for anyone ready to explore or expand their art skills. Using the materials provided in the mailed kits, you’ll make your favorite picture a lively work of art. Mindy will guide you step-by-step through the process, offering tips and techniques to bring your photo alive in a 3D frame. 

Your kit will include:

• Variety of decorative papers
• Backing paper
• Glue
• Scissors
• Shadow box frame

Participants will need to have a photo and a pencil ready.

Meet Artist Mindy Byrd

Mindy Byrd is a commercial photographer, artist and mom currently living in Dallas, Texas with her partner, two kids, two cats and dog.

Mindy graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a BFA in Art, going on to assist photographers in Dallas until eventually signing with The Photo Division as a fashion, beauty and product photographer.

She has worked with amazing clients like Adidas, Amore Pacific, Benefit Cosmetics, L’Oreal, Neiman Marcus, Net-a-Porter, Nike, Mary Kay and many more.

Mindy has been incorporating collage into her personal and commercial photo work since college, something that started out as purely aesthetic.

Slowly the process began to feel more and more therapeutic, realizing the act of using her hands to create was calming her anxious mind.

She started Byrdhouse Collage in 2023, a collage side project with the goal of connecting people to their own creativity using their hands and minds.

Mental health is very important to Mindy, and she hopes to empower others in their own creative journey with collage.
